There is a set fee to see a psychologist in our private psychology practice.
Bulk Billing available (eligibility applies) via Mental Health Treatment Plans.
Free mental health counselling via CAREinMIND Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services - referral required.
Sessions are for 50 minutes.
Recommended APS (Australian Psychological Society) payment schedule to see a registered psychologist for 46 - 60 minutes is $238.
Funded Counselling Services
To see a counsellor, psychotherapist or provisional psychologist under our funded stream, the fee is set according to income.

Do you see clients under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan?
Our Registered Psychologists provide psychological treatment to clients under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan. A GP referral to our organisation is required in order to receive this service.
Note: Mental Health Care Plans are for 12 months per calendar year; and from September 2020 to March 2021, individuals can receive 20 sessions per calendar year (as a result of COVID-19).
Do I have to pay a fee to receive psychological treatment under the Medicare GP Mental Health Care Plan?
Yes, a fee for this service will be assessed on your initial inquiry.
Full payment is required at appointment. After receiving Medicare rebate onsite, your out of pocket expense will commence at $55.00 for a 60 minute session.
BULK BILLING available to eligible clients (unemployed).
You will need a current Medicare card to receive this service.
Are you a CAREinMIND provider of Mental Health Services (formerly ATAPS) ?
Yes, our organisation provides counselling via the CAREinMIND Referral pathway for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Services.
Your GP will be able to nominate our organisation as the chosen referral at the application stage.
The CAREinMIND pathway is funded by the Australian Government by the Melbourne Primary Care Network.
Client Confidentiality
Your right to confidentiality in counselling is protected under the Family Law Act 1975. Our Psychologists work within this professional code of ethics which obligates them to full confidentiality.
However, confidentiality is limited under the following circumstances: when subpoenaed by a court; failure to disclose information could place you or another person at risk; or when prior approval has been obtained.
Telehealth
For those clients who are unable to attend an onsite appointment, we provide telehealth counselling services via a secure practice management platform.
Cancellation Policy
Once an appointment has been made to see one of our psychologists, as a whole hour is reserved for the appointment, we require 24 hours’ notice for cancellation of a scheduled consultation. 24 hours' notice is required to allow the time to offer the appointment to another client who is on our cancellation list awaiting an appointment. A fee of $60 will be charged for non-attendance or less than 24 hours’ notice of cancellation.
