New Parents Group - Merri-bek City Council (formerly City of Moreland)

In collaboration with Merri-bek Maternal and Child Health Unit, RelateWell provides "Self Care: Mental Health and Well-being' parenting education sessions to new parents living in the City of Merribek.

Service Locations:

Various Maternal & Child Health Centres throughout the City of Merri-bek.

Individual and Couple Counselling - Merri-bek City Council (formerly City of Moreland)

In collaboration with Merri-bek Maternal and Child Health Unit, RelateWell provides affordable counselling to individuals and couples referred to our counselling service via our partnership. A referral from your maternal and child health nurse is required and/or reference to being connected with a maternal child health centre within the municipality. 

Counselling takes places in a confidential, professional and non-threatening environment. 

Babies and children welcome.

Sessions are held on a Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm.

Funded by the Commonwealth Department of Social Services (DSS); in partnership with Merri-bek Maternal and Child Health Services

BULK BILLING - GP referred Mental Health Care Plans

Individuals who are referred to our psychology service via our partnership with Merri-bek Maternal & Child Health Unit, who present with GP referred Mental Health Care Plans, will be bulk billed for the service.

There are no limits or caps on the number of sessions individuals can access through this pathway.

PREPARE/ENRICH Parenting Inventory

The PREPARE/ENRICH Parenting Inventory guides couples through the many challenges of parenting and the joining of marital and parental dynamics, building relationship skills and raising awareness.

The Parenting Inventory provides parents with an insight into their parenting style, their couple relationship and family dynamics. It will assist parents to:

• explore strengths and areas of growth as partners and parents;
• resolve couple and parenting issues;
• identify and manage parenting stress;
• discuss differing parenting styles and how you can both work together as a team; and
• increase parenting confidence, support and satisfaction.

The Parenting Inventory is conducted over 1 session - 90 minute duration.
